Power of God’s Mercy !!!

I Timothy 1:16  But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners.

Meditate on God’s Word! Why did God choose you? Was God impressed by your good works, degree or overall intelligence. The Bible shows us quite a different picture. God saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.  6 He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. 7 Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life. Titus 3:5-7 

It is all about God’s grace, love and mercy for all mankind, nothing more and nothing less. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) 8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:4,5,8-10. The Apostle Paul knew that he was one of Israel’s religious leaders who knew the law of God but never experienced the grace and mercy of God. When he met Jesus it bought him to his knees and his life was never the same again. 12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him, 13 even though I used to blaspheme the name of Christ. In my insolence, I persecuted his people. But God had mercy on me because I did it in ignorance and unbelief. 14 Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that come from Christ Jesus.15 This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all. I Timothy 1:12-15 

So perhaps today get lost in the wonder of God and the fact that God chose you because He loves you and He loves all mankind equally.  So instead of wondering who is chosen or not treat everyone the way God sees them and share the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all you meet.  You didn’t deserve it then and you don’t deserve it now so just give God the glory by sharing the love of Jesus with everyone you meet today!  When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Romans 5:6
