God’s Greatest Gift!

Ephesians 2:8. God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.

Meditate on God’s Word:  I was searching for God in 1976 while I was working in the factory and I was empty and lost inside. I went to JC Penny’s and purchased a Living Bible devotional and God began to draw me to Jesus through reading the Word. I began a lifetime quest of trying to make it easier for people to be able to understand God’s Word by teaching 20 years ago. I was taught by Pastor Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel Church in Costa Mesa, California. He taught the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter and I learned to savor the grace and love and the power of God’s Word in my life. I never heard anyone teach with such love, grace, forgiveness and peace in my life so I decided 20 years ago to do the same for others. So in 1998 I started a website with the help of Jim, a friend at work called Christians Traveling Alone. The purpose of the first website through today is to encourage Christians to love and study God’s Word. The second objective was to share the simple message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a loving way to others the way that Pastor Chuck would do with every lesson he taught. The purpose and objective from 20 years ago remain the same in each lesson I share with you around the world.

Then in 2000 I started a Bible study at work with Tom and Dave where we met each week for over 10 years in spite of heavy travel schedules. Then it was time for a different approach to reach more people so with the help of Brian I started the blog that is still active today called. meditatewithpower.blogspot.com  Then in 2013 I received a vision from God after watching the History of the Bible series on TV to simplify the Bible under the redemption theme. That began a process in 2014 with another friend Brian, which led to theredemptionstory.org a compilation of 70 Bible references with illustrations from Genesis through Revelation that point to three words, redemption, forgiveness and Jesus. This project was made possible and was launched with my friend Paul at freebibleimages.org The Redemption Story is now available online in four languages and has been downloaded in over 70 countries since it was launched in 2014. There are two books, two short videos and a training booklet, available for free download at the redemptionstory.org 

So the greatest gift that God gave me in 1976 is available for free today if you accept it by faith. God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:8-10. So today as I celebrate my 65th birthday I can only thank God for HIs grace, forgiveness and mercy and hope that my story will encourage you to believe in the power of God’s Word in your life today.
