Meditate with Power!
Greater Than Gold!
Psalm 119:127 Because I love your commands more than gold, more than pure gold.
Meditate on God’s Word! King David knew that the real power in life was learning to rely on His Word. It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees. The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold. Psalm 119:71-72 Isaiah also wrote these words that have lived on as our GPS for the challenges of life. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the Lord blows on them. Surely the people are grass. 8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” Isaiah 40:7-8
Isaiah also wrote that the real power in our lives comes from knowing God and from knowing His Word. Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the wearyand increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:28-31 We have the privilege of knowing God and the power to resist evil and sin in our lives through the Word of God. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. John 17:15-19
Let the power of God’s Word transform you today from the inside out from the indwelling Holy Spirit, given to those who have trusted in Jesus. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you. John 14:16-17
