Question: What is the basis of such a complex design?

Sri Sri: Everything is complex. See your body is so complex, there are platelets, thyroid, parathyroid, saliva,50000 bacteria in your intestines, they say.

There are mites on your forehead, three different types of mites on your forehead. One lives just above the eyebrows, one in the middle and another on top of the head.

They are all very region conscious. These mites don't travel to the top and they don't come down. They are very territorial.There is no migration of these mites.They stay in their own places. If you see the native Americans, the native Australians, the native people of new Zealand, the Maoris and Hawaiians, they all smear ashes in three strips, in India also.

They put three strips of ashes to block these mites from migrating to somebody else's forehead. Mites are in the forehead, they are a sort of bacteria, finer type of bacteria.

Question: Guruji, can you talk just a little bit more about the source on the material we have been studying for the last few days?

Are Upanisads cognized as Vedas? Are they part of the Vedas? Is there one author or many?

Sri Sri: The Vedas are four in number and the Upanisads are attached to the Vedas. They have some of the vedic mantras, but the Upanisads are a dialogue between the master and the disciple. So the disciple asked" What"? And the master says this. The Upanisads are considered as the last part of Vedas. They are also considered as Vedanta, which means the last part of Vedas. Vedas are cognition. What happened is those Rishis sat in deep meditation and started saying whatever they saw and heard inside. Those became the Vedas. And there were one thousand and odd Rishis who cognized the Vedas., which are in four volumes. They only say, " we are the cognizer s" . They didn't say "we wrote them". They are not the authors. But they are the vehicle for that to dawn. Similarly, Ayurveda has been downloaded by 88000 Rishis sitting in one place. They said we will all go into Samadhi and told Rishi Bharadwaja," you write down whatever is said". We will download it, and we will print it out. So Rishi Bharadwaja kept awake.  They said," You don't go into Samadhi. You be the printer," so he noted down the Ayurveda while these Rishis went into deep Samadhi and kept talking about different herbs and how they are useful for what part of the body and so on. The whole medicine of Ayurveda came out from that.

Question: How long ago was it?

Sri Sri: You don't know the time frame actually. It is in the ancient times, not recent at all. It's beyond 10,000 years ago
